Available courses

The education system in India has evolved through many stages from Ancient Vedic Period through Medieval and then finally to Modern Education System established by Britishers in India. The foundation of Modern Education System has been laid by Britishers which is still in practice throughout the nation. Several commissions and committees were formed to raise the level of Education throughout the nation. The course will take you through different commissions and transitions that took place in pre-independence era. 

Part 2 of the Paper " Development of Indian Education System" is an extension to the history of Education after Later Vedic Period. It covers all three major religious periods including Buddhist , Jainism and Islamic era. The contribution of these periods is remarkable in their own realms shaping the existing education system to some extent. Go through the course and get know well through different e-resources about significant development in education during this period. 

This module is developed as per syllabus described under NEP 2020, in Education second semester. It will help the learners to know the philosophical basis of Education and the relationship between the duo. All the students are advised to go through teaching learning resources provided through this LMS.

Third sememster includes the paper 'Development of Indian Education System' which encompasses historical perspective of the development of education system in India. Our nation has a vast history of different phases of development in education, starting from Vedic Period till modern period. So far there has been significant changes in the system. The course is designed to carve out an image in the minds of readers, which would provide a glimps of different phases of education in India. Initially the course has been prepared for the first unit and first bullet of the syllabus which is regarding our ancient education system in vedic period. 

The Aims of the course are:

1- To build up an understanding of Vedic Education System.

2- To critically analyze the working beliefs of Vedic Education System.

3- To sensitize students towards our rich cultural heritage.

4- To explore the importance and utility of our educational heritage. 

The first paper in Education (first semester) under NEP 2020 is Education and Society. Education and Society are deeply linked to each other. Infact, society is the third pole of education which influences the aim, methods of teaching, curricula and the other aspects of education. This course will bring out the relationship and help the learners to develop concept of education in modern society.
